This project involved designing and developing a clean, mobile-responsive news platform tailored for an independent journalist. The aim was to create a user-friendly space that empowered the writer to publish stories efficiently while attracting and engaging a growing audience. Central to the project was a custom content management system that streamlined article creation, categorization, and author management.

Independent journalists often struggle with limited resources and lack of robust publishing tools. The challenge was to build a platform that balances simplicity with powerful features — allowing journalists to focus on storytelling without technical distractions. The objective included ensuring mobile responsiveness, easy navigation, and SEO-optimized structure to maximize reach and discoverability.

The platform features a clean, minimalist design prioritizing readability and intuitive navigation. The always-visible author profile gives the writer individual identity and credibility, while article categories help readers explore content effortlessly. Mobile-first design principles ensured seamless performance on all devices, enabling readers to access news anytime, anywhere.

Prismic CMS was used to give the journalist full control over their content. It supports easy article drafting, editing, and publishing workflows. Built-in SEO tools, such as meta-tagging, help improve search engine rankings, making stories more discoverable and driving organic traffic growth.

Though still in its initial phase, early user feedback praised the platform's clean interface and streamlined publishing process. The CMS empowered the journalist to focus on content quality and frequency, while the SEO features of News Content Insights and Google Analytics laid the groundwork for audience growth.

This platform offers a scalable foundation for independent journalism to thrive in a competitive digital landscape. The combination of clean design, powerful CMS integration, and built-in SEO creates a publishing environment where storytelling takes center stage.
